TozziniFreire, a leading legal services firm in Latin America, began the second half of the year with further progress in its strategic growth plan and strengthened its Restructuring and Insolvency and Dispute Resolution practices with the arrival of partner Cinthia de Lamare.

Based in Rio de Janeiro and operating nationwide, Cinthia advises clients on debt restructuring and credit recovery, with a distinguished track record in cross-border cases and landmark restructurings that helped shape the current Brazilian insolvency system.

Through integrated action with TozziniFreire’s M&A and Capital Markets teams, the Restructuring and Insolvency team is able to offer comprehensive solutions to companies, financial institutions, asset managers, investment funds, creditors, investors, shareholders and other agents, delivering consistent results.

About Cinthia de Lamare

Cinthia de Lamare has extensive experience advising clients on judicial and extrajudicial debt recoveries, restructurings, loan recovery, financing, and acquisitions of distressed assets. Cinthia also has experience in complex and sophisticated financial transactions, collaborating from the initial stages, such as fundraising, drafting debt documents, and selecting the most appropriate instruments and guarantees, with a focus on adopting strategic solutions that add value and mitigate future risks.

In the area of Dispute Resolution, Cinthia is recognized for her performance in complex and strategic cases in all areas of corporate litigation, including representing clients in sophisticated litigation in various sectors such as energy, mining, telecommunications, infrastructure and oil and gas, including offshore operations.

She holds a law degree from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) and a specialization in Corporate Law and Capital Markets from the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV). She is recognized in two areas by the international guide Chambers and Partners (Brazil: Bankruptcy/Restructuring and Dispute Resolution: Rio de Janeiro), and is also listed in other relevant legal directories, such as Legal 500 and Latin Lawyer 250.
