Dentons Peru has announced the appointment of Daniel de la Vega Zavala as partner and head of the Labour practice, strengthening its capacity to advise companies on the strategic management of labour relations and the resolution of individual and collective disputes.
With more than 20 years of experience in the field, De la Vega will assume strategic leadership of the firm’s Labour practice, working alongside the existing team to strengthen and expand its presence in the Peruvian market, with a particular focus on highly sensitive sectors such as mining and energy, banking and industry.

The labour law specialist has a solid track record in labour and procedural law advisory work, with particular emphasis on collective bargaining, labour arbitration, strategic litigation and proceedings before the labour inspection authority (SUNAFIL). Throughout his career, he has led complex collective bargaining negotiations, designed and implemented procedural strategies in high-profile cases, and contributed to the development of judicial precedents on dismissal and employee benefits.
Before joining Dentons, he was a partner at Cornejo y Calderón Boutique Laboral. Previously, he served as senior associate and head of the labour litigation department at Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano Abogados, where he led the structuring of legal strategies and the modernisation of labour litigation management systems. He also worked at García Sayán Abogados and Estudio Chehade & Abogados, advising companies across various economic sectors.
Dentons’ new head of Labour is a graduate of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (summa cum laude). He holds a Master’s degree in Labour Law and Social Security from the same institution and a Master’s degree in General Legal Theory and Legal Argumentation from the University of Salamanca. He has also completed specialised studies in advanced litigation and strategic labour relations at universities in Peru, Chile and Spain, and is a registered arbitrator with the Ministry of Labour and Employment Promotion.
