His appointment reflects the development of the practice in Spain and the growing demand for sophisticated tax advice and multi-jurisdictional transactions

Dentons has appointed Guillermo Bailach Miró as a new partner in the Tax Department of its Spanish office. Bailach’s appointment reflects the firm’s commitment to strengthening its advisory capabilities in complex transactions, in response to growing demand in the areas of transactional taxation, international structuring, and tax risk management.

Jabier Badiola , managing partner of Dentons in Spain, emphasized that “Guillermo’s addition represents a strategic step in strengthening our Tax practice. His technical background, international experience, and in-depth knowledge of complex transactions and transactional risk insurance will bring added value to our clients and reinforce our position in high-value-added areas.”

Guillermo Bailach, for his part, noted that “Dentons’ international strength and its strong commitment to growth in Spain represent an excellent opportunity to further develop a highly specialized transactional tax practice. My goal is to actively contribute to that growth.”

Bailach, with over 15 years of professional experience and formerly with DLA Piper, specializes in tax advice for high-value M&A transactions, as well as corporate restructurings (mergers, spin-offs, and cross-border reorganizations) and international tax structuring, particularly in regulated sectors such as insurance and life sciences. He also has extensive experience in representations and warranties (W&I) insurance, underwriting policies to cover tax risks, and advising on complex tax proceedings of all kinds.

Prior to joining Dentons, Bailach developed his career at firms such as DLA Piper, EY, and Ramón y Cajal Abogados. His profile combines significant international experience—including stints in London and New York—with a strong academic background, having served as a professor of Tax Law and director of specialized courses in real estate transaction taxation and global minimum taxation at the Complutense University of Madrid. He has also taught in the Postgraduate Program in International Taxation at the University of Buenos Aires. Furthermore, his high professional standing and market recognition have earned him recognition in prestigious international directories such as ITR World Tax (Rising Star 2025) and The Legal 500.
