Beccar Varela announced the addition of Florencia Heredia and Agostina Martínez as new partners, as part of the firm’s strengthening of its Natural Resources: Mining practice. The arrival of Heredia and Martínez, locally and internationally recognized professionals in natural resources law, particularly mining, represents a strategic step in consolidating the firm’s position in an industry crucial to the country’s development.
Joining them is Milagros Pieroni as a senior lawyer, bringing experience in advising on mining and environmental law, ESG and sustainability, in both the public and private sectors.

Florencia Heredia has 35 years of experience advising companies and financial institutions on major mining project financings in Argentina. She has participated in all the most significant transactions in the sector and is widely recognized for her leadership and international expertise in natural resources and sustainability. She will now assume leadership of the firm’s Mining practice.
He actively participates in the International Bar Association (IBA), where he was Chair of the Section of Energy, Environment, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Law (2022-2024), having previously been Chair of the Mining Law Committee, and currently serving on the Management Board representing the Legal Practice Division of the IBA.
She has been recognized by Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 as an industry leader for more than 20 years, as well as Mining Lawyer of the Year by Who’s Who Legal for more than a decade, having received the Lifetime Achievement award from Lexology Index in London in 2024.
Florencia was a partner at Allende & Brea and founder of Holt Abogados. Prior to that, she spent 16 years at Beccar Varela, where she led the Natural Resources and Environmental Law department. She holds a law degree from the Catholic University of Argentina (Faustino Legon Award) and a Master’s degree in Business Law from Austral University, among other specializations.
Agostina Martínez has over 12 years of experience advising on natural resources law, with a focus on mining. She has participated in structuring complex transactions in the sector, combining a strong academic background with practical experience at both the local and international levels, working closely with Florencia Heredia for the past nine years. She has been recognized by Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners in the Energy & Natural Resources: Mining area.
Previously, she served as a senior associate at Allende & Brea and was part of the Energy and Natural Resources team at Marval, O’Farrell, Mairal. She holds a law degree from the Catholic University of Cuyo and an LL.M. in Mineral Law and Policy from the University of Dundee (United Kingdom).
