Pinsent Masons has added Leticia Sitges as Legal Director of the Energy team in Madrid, led by Hermenegildo Altozano, thus strengthening one of the firm’s strategic sectors in Spain.
Leticia specializes in Public and Regulatory Law and has in-depth knowledge of regulated sectors such as energy, environment, and mining. Before joining Pinsent Masons, she was Director of the Public and Regulatory Law practice at Andersen, and prior to that, she spent over 11 years in the Regulatory department at Latham & Watkins.
Throughout his career, he has regularly advised on corporate transactions with a strong regulatory component, particularly in the energy sector. His experience includes regulatory risk analysis in due diligence processes, as well as advising on the negotiation of insurance policies to cover the regulatory risks identified in these types of transactions. He also has a solid track record in the analysis of complex environmental contingencies, including issues related to soil and groundwater contamination, providing a technical and strategic approach in particularly demanding regulatory environments.
