Ontier announced the addition of Lojayne Shaheen to its Middle East team, consolidating International Arbitration as one of the firm’s key growth pillars.
His arrival strengthens Ontier’s strategy in the Middle East, led by Kamal Khashoggi, advancing its international growth plan.
“Ontier’s project in the Middle East reflects a long-term vision, based on local knowledge, technical excellence, and a genuine understanding of international business dynamics”, said Lojayne Shaheen. “Saudi Arabia is undergoing a profound transformation and offers tremendous business opportunities. My goal is to help Ontier become a strategic partner for clients operating in the region and for those seeking to connect the Middle East with Europe and the Americas”.
For his part, Javier Muñoz, International Director of Ontier, highlighted that “the addition of Lojayne Shaheen strengthens two key pillars of our strategy: the Middle East and International Arbitration. We want to build a solid project in Saudi Arabia, supported by top-level talent and a strong arbitration practice, capable of positioning Ontier as a benchmark in the region and internationally”.
More from Lojayne Shaheen
She has extensive experience in international dispute resolution and arbitration, gained throughout her career in Europe, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. She joins Ontier from Freshfields, where she worked in their Riyadh office, acquiring in-depth legal knowledge and an understanding of the dynamics of international business in the region.
At Ontier, Lojayne will work closely with Kamal Khashoggi, with both partners representing Ontier in the region and jointly leading the development of the regional strategy to foster a strong, long-term presence. Simultaneously, Lojayne will play an active role in the growth of the International Arbitration practice, led by Mercedes Romero, alongside the London office, headed by Claire Morel de Westgaver, an expert in International Arbitration.
This addition reflects Ontier’s commitment to an international growth model based on combining local knowledge, global reach, and technical excellence.
This move reflects the growing role of the Middle East as an international hub for investment and business development. In this context, Ontier’s established presence in Anglo-Saxon markets, with offices in London and Miami, strengthens its ability to support clients in highly complex cross-border projects in a region of increasing global importance.
