Montero Aramburu & Gómez-Villares Atencia appoints three new partners

Montero Aramburu & Gómez-Villares Atencia appointed Fernando Toledo Bermejo, Luis Cánovas Santos and Felipe Fernández-Sacristán Garrido as new equity partners in the firm’s Tax practice.

The three appointments are part of the firm’s national growth strategy, consolidating the strength of its tax practice in regional markets such as Andalusia and the Canary Islands.

Leonardo Neri and Javier Valdecantos, managing partners of the firm, emphasized the significance of these appointments: “The promotion of these professionals to equity partners reflects the recognition of an outstanding professional career and a firm commitment to the firm’s consolidation project.”

These promotions bring the firm’s total number of partners to 21 and demonstrate a sustained commitment to internal growth, technical excellence, and a way of practicing law focused on building long-term relationships and providing strategic support to clients.

Fernando Toledo Bermejo, a graduate in Economics from Complutense University, in Law from Abat Oliba University, and with a Master’s degree in Tax Consulting from IE Business School, has been working in the firm’s tax department for over two decades. Specializing in tax advice for corporate groups, he has played a key role in the growth and consolidation of the Las Palmas office, as well as in the firm’s development in the Canary Islands.

Luis Cánovas Santos, a graduate in Business Administration from the University of Seville, has extensive experience in the Tax Department of Montero Aramburu & Gómez-Villares Atencia, regularly advising companies and individuals on tax matters. He currently leads the development of the practice from Seville and Malaga, with a strong focus on clients and the Andalusian business community.

Felipe Fernández-Sacristán Garrido, a graduate in Law from the University of Seville and with a Master’s degree in Tax Consulting, specializes in tax advice, with significant experience in corporate taxation, excise taxes, and energy. He currently manages the Córdoba office, contributing to the firm’s growth and positioning in Andalusia.
