Machado Meyer announced the promotion of five new partners, strengthening key practice areas—mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, labor law, banking and crypto assets, and tax—and expanding its regional presence in strategic business centers. With these appointments, the firm now has a total of 120 partners.
In São Paulo, Gabriel Gomes (Labor Law and Employment), Gabriel Vazami (Mergers and Acquisitions), and Pedro Nasi (Banking and Cryptoassets) have joined the firm. In Rio de Janeiro, Carolina Amorim (Tax Law) has been promoted, and in Belo Horizonte, Wagner Duarte (Capital Markets and Mergers and Acquisitions) has also joined the firm.
The promotion of the new partners reinforces Machado Meyer’s comprehensive service model, enhances the firm’s ability to support companies in strategic transactions across multiple sectors of the economy, and reflects its long-term commitment to developing internal talent.
“These promotions have special significance, as they reflect the trajectory of professionals who have developed their careers and grown alongside Machado Meyer. Three of them started as interns, and all have been with the firm for many years. This demonstrates the strength of our internal talent pool, which combines technical excellence, alignment with the firm’s values, and a solid business vision,” stated Tito Andrade, managing partner of the firm.
