Garrigues strengthens its Labor Department with the addition of Jaime Silva as a new partner in Madrid. With over 22 years of professional experience, he has a solid track record in providing labor law advice to national and international companies. His appointment must be ratified by the Garrigues partners’ board.
A graduate in Law from the Pontifical University of Comillas (ICADE) and with a Master’s degree in Legal Advice (MAJ) from IE Business School, Silva’s professional practice focuses on strategic labor law advice, as well as managing the recurring needs arising from business activity. Throughout his career, developed in various law firms (including Garrigues, where he spent his first ten years as a lawyer), he has worked for clients in diverse economic sectors, including banking, insurance, and the pharmaceutical industry.
His experience in the procedural representation of companies in labor litigation and collective disputes, as well as in collective bargaining and specialized advice to senior management, is particularly noteworthy.
Silva is a frequent speaker at specialized labor law forums and conferences and teaches in various master’s and postgraduate programs. He is also the author of several publications specializing in labor law. He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
