The Brazilian law firm Felsberg Advogados announced the arrival of Ambassador Fernando de Mello Barreto as counsel and André Marcassa as a new partner at Felsberg. Their addition also marks the launch of two new practice areas at the firm: International Trade and Investments, and Asset Recovery and Foreclosures.
Reflecting the ongoing restructuring of the sector, which directly impacts corporate decision-making, the International Trade and Investment area is led by Ambassador Fernando de Mello Barreto, a diplomat with over four decades of experience working in various countries. “This initiative expands our services in areas related to global trade, including tariffs and strategic agreements such as Mercosur and the European Union.”
The Asset Recovery and Execution area will be headed by André Marcassa, who has over 15 years of experience in litigation related to asset recovery, fraud, and creditor-debtor disputes, both in Brazil and abroad. This area will handle sensitive situations involving asset protection and recovery, often associated with complex litigation and multiple jurisdictions.
This decision reinforces the firm’s positioning in areas that demand high specialization, coordinated action, and a comprehensive understanding of complex scenarios.
