Ecix strengthens its Digital Law practice with the appointment of Miguel Dancausa as a new partner at the firm. With over twenty years of experience, Miguel brings a career built across two complementary disciplines: legal advisory to technology companies and in-house legal leadership in international, highly complex regulatory environments.
Prior to joining Ecix, Miguel served as Legal & Compliance Director at 300DEC, a company specialising in hyperautomation and AI. Before that, he was a member of the Management Committee at Cegid, where he led the legal and compliance function for Iberia, Latin America and Africa, and of the Management Committee at Meta4, where he held the role of Corporate Head of Legal with global responsibility. In these positions, he supported the transformation of technology business models – software, cloud, SaaS, BPO, consulting and digital services – leading legal teams and advising on technology contracting, privacy, intellectual property, compliance, corporate transactions and risk management in international settings.
His appointment strengthens ECIX’s capacity to support large organisations in addressing the legal challenges of digital transformation, particularly in areas such as artificial intelligence, privacy, technology contracting, digital compliance and Legal Operations, as well as in adapting to an increasingly complex and demanding regulatory landscape.
Carlos Sáiz Peña, Vice-President of Ecix, comments: “Miguel brings an especially valuable combination of legal expertise, technological knowledge and practical business acumen. His background in the legal departments of technology companies enables us to sharpen a distinctive proposition for clients who need to manage digital risks, implement Legal Operations, tackle new regulatory challenges and operate with legal certainty in an ever more complex environment.”
Miguel Dancausa adds: “It is a great honour to be joining Ecix – a firm I regard as genuinely distinctive. Years ago, it had the foresight to anticipate many of the challenges that organisations and their legal teams face today: the rise of artificial intelligence, the acceleration of digital transformation and growing regulatory complexity. Ecix has built a hybrid professional services model that combines deep legal specialisation, technology and operational expertise, and has established itself as a leading firm in Digital Law. For me, joining this project represents an extraordinary opportunity to contribute my experience in Digital Law from a practical, strategic perspective that is closely aligned with the business.”
With this appointment, Ecix consolidates its firm model: legal specialisation, technology and operational capability in the service of organisations that need to anticipate risks, meet new regulatory demands and move forward with confidence in their digital transformation.
