DLA Piper announced the addition of Itxaso López as a partner in the Real Estate department at the Madrid office, a professional recognized in the Spanish market for her extensive experience advising on the acquisition, financing and development of real estate assets of any type and, especially, in highly complex situations.

With over 20 years of experience since graduating from the University of Deusto, López has advised leading international investors on national and multi-jurisdictional transactions. He has participated in deals encompassing the acquisition and financing of offices, logistics warehouses, hotels, shopping centers, and residential assets, including affordable housing developments. He has also advised on numerous land acquisitions for the development of projects for both conventional and innovative uses, including data centers, contributing his extensive knowledge of urban planning, management, and construction. In recent years, he has played an active role in European ESG initiatives within the real estate legal sector.
In 2015, she joined a Real Estate team in Spain at a renowned international firm, becoming a partner in 2022. She is a member of the associations Women in Real Estate Spain (WIRES) and Women in a Legal World (WLW), actively collaborating on mentoring programs and working groups aimed at promoting female talent in the legal sector. Since 2025, she has taught international students in the Master in Real Estate Development program at the IE School of Architecture and Design. Itxaso López has also been recognized by leading international legal directories, appearing in Chambers Europe, Real Estate since 2018, and as a Next Generation Partner in Legal 500.
