DLA Piper has added André Teixeira as a partner in its Project Finance practice. Based in DLA Piper’s Washington, DC office, Teixeira further strengthens the firm’s cross-border finance capabilities in the United States and Latin America, complementing its global project finance, infrastructure, and debt services.
Teixeira has over 20 years of experience advising sponsors, investment funds, and financial institutions on complex financing transactions in the natural resources, infrastructure, and energy sectors. His work encompasses a wide range of projects, including solar, wind, hydroelectric, gas-fired, and nuclear projects, and he regularly advises on cross-border transactions in the United States, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East.
“André’s arrival reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting clients wherever capital is invested and growth is driven,” said Francisco Cerezo , head of the firm’s US and Latin America practice. “His experience advising on complex financings across various jurisdictions further strengthens our ability to provide comprehensive, commercially focused advice at the intersection of infrastructure, energy, and investment.”
“In today’s environment, successful projects require more than just technical legal advice: they need advisors who understand the commercial, financial, and strategic considerations that drive investment decisions,” said Joe Stefano, co-head of the firm’s Infrastructure, Construction, and Transportation practice. “André combines extensive finance experience with deep market knowledge, enabling clients to structure transactions, mitigate risks, and confidently move forward with critical projects.”
