DLA Piper has appointed Paco Bachiller as a partner in its Madrid office, reinforcing its Corporate practice and its commitment to organic growth and internal promotion in strategic areas. His appointment takes effect from 1 May.
Bachiller, previously legal director of the Corporate practice, has over 15 years of experience in corporate law and domestic and international transactions. He has built substantial international experience, having worked in London and Dubai, and advises regularly on complex cross-border transactions. He holds an LL.M. from Columbia University, New York, and has continued to develop his career at DLA Piper on a practice fully integrated with the firm’s global platform.
He advises on corporate law, with a specialism in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and venture capital investments, and complex cross-border corporate transactions. His experience spans acquisitions and disposals of stakes and businesses, multi-jurisdictional transactions, venture capital deals, strategic alliances, and corporate reorganisations. He acts for both domestic and international clients, advising Spanish groups on their investments and operations abroad and international clients operating in Spain, in close collaboration with DLA Piper teams in the United States, the United Kingdom, continental Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
