DLA Piper Spain announced new internal promotions that reinforce its commitment to talent development within the firm. Effective today, July 1, Marta Clemente will assume the role of Councilor in Corporate. At the same time, Pablo González, Fátima Rico-Villademoros, and Alberto Rubio have been promoted to Legal Director. Additionally, three professionals have been promoted to Senior Associate.

Marta joined DLA Piper in 2024. She has over 15 years of professional experience in corporate and financial transactions in the energy, infrastructure, and transportation sectors. Her practice focuses on the purchase, development, construction, and financing of energy and infrastructure projects, advising all types of investors, lenders, and developers at every stage of the project. She also has extensive experience negotiating Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) from both the buyer's and seller's perspectives. Her project expertise is complemented by in-depth knowledge of export support structures, construction, and project finance provided by export credit agencies.
Pablo joined DLA Piper in 2018. He has extensive experience advising financial institutions, private investors, funds, and sponsors on all types of financing transactions (corporate, real estate, venture capital, refinancings, and LBOs), with a particular focus on international deals. His practice also covers a wide range of matters, including advising on the structuring and granting of guarantees by Spanish companies in the context of projects in Latin America, as well as advising institutional investors—including international insurers and public entities—on infrastructure projects in multiple jurisdictions.
Fátima joined DLA Piper in 2015. She has over 10 years of experience in high-profile real estate transactions for national and international clients. Specializing in asset deals and share deals—retail, logistics, office, and residential (including branded residences)—she has established a strong leadership position in the data center sector in recent years, advising funds throughout the entire lifecycle: acquiring land with capacity permits, development, operation through colocation agreements, and structuring joint ventures. Her comprehensive vision and ability to operate in complex environments position her as a leading figure at the intersection of real estate law and technology infrastructure.
Alberto joined DLA Piper in 2014. He is an expert in advising on all types of financing transactions—corporate, leveraged buyouts (LBOs), real estate, and project finance—both domestically and internationally, acting on behalf of both financial institutions and institutional investors, as well as sponsors. He has worked on complex debt refinancing and restructuring processes, as well as on financing transactions implemented through bond issuances (private placements). He is also a member of the firm's Sports Finance practice, participating in some of the largest sports and stadium infrastructure financings in Spain.
On the other hand, the new senior associates are: Julia Fernández, from the Real Estate team, Carlos Fuerte and Diego Sánchez, both in Corporate.
