Deloitte Legal appointed ten new partners during the last year with the aim of consolidating its position in the areas of Corporate M&A, Tax, Digital Law, Litigation and Arbitration and Managed Legal Services.
This year, Deloitte Legal has added Alfonso Bayona, Borja Martín, Juan de Navasqüés, and Inmaculada Castelló to its Corporate M&A practice. These additions particularly strengthen its capabilities in energy, infrastructure, private equity, healthcare, and complex corporate transactions—areas where the demand for specialized advice continues to grow.
Deloitte Legal has also added Paul Handal to lead Legal Function Transformation, strengthening its Digital Law team and supporting companies in their digital transformation processes.
Its addition responds to the growing demand from legal departments to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence tools and new technologies. To this end, Deloitte Legal combines legal, technological, and business capabilities, leveraging Deloitte’s multidisciplinary ecosystem.
These additions are complemented by the promotions to partner of Álvaro Alarcón (Legal), Borja Coghen (Tax), Guillermo Donadeu (Legal), Julia Durantez (Business Process Solutions – BPS) and Sergio Ramírez (Tax), reinforcing key areas for the growth of Deloitte Legal.
Álvaro Alarcón has represented national and international companies in civil and commercial judicial and arbitration proceedings over the past 15 years.
Borja Coghen has 14 years of experience in international taxation, wealth taxation, and advising family offices. Throughout his career, he has led national and international projects, assisting individuals and corporations, and participating in M&A transactions.
Guillermo Donadeu specializes in Corporate M&A, with a particular focus on the industrial sector. He has extensive experience advising companies on contractual and commercial matters, mergers and acquisitions, and shareholder disputes.
Julia Durantez adds to her solid career in the legal field a high specialization in outsourcing projects of legal services for national and international entities, as well as in claims processes, recoveries and corporate compliance.
Sergio Ramírez, for his part, specializes in tax law and has over 15 years of professional experience. He has led significant M&A, due diligence, and tax structuring projects.
