CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo approved the incorporation of Álvaro Seijo Bar as a new partner in the Intellectual Property, Industrial and Intangible Assets area.

He has spent his entire career at Uría Menéndez, joining the firm in 2012 and being promoted to counsel in 2014. He regularly advises domestic and international clients on intellectual and industrial property, digital law, unfair competition and advertising, as well as distribution and agency matters. His experience spans sectors including technology, media, creative industries, platforms, telecommunications, finance, pharmaceuticals and industrials, with a particular focus on businesses driven by intangible assets.
His practice combines contentious and non-contentious work, with involvement in significant litigation before civil and administrative courts, as well as proceedings before Spanish and European Union authorities. He also regularly participates in the negotiation and execution of complex agreements relating to intangible assets.
In parallel, he maintains an active academic profile as a lecturer on postgraduate programmes at leading Spanish universities, including the Complutense University of Madrid, Carlos III University of Madrid and the University of Navarra. He has also authored numerous publications in specialised journals and collective works, primarily on copyright, trademarks, artificial intelligence, software and advertising law.
Álvaro Seijo holds degrees in Law and Business Administration from the University of Alicante, where he received the Extraordinary Award in both disciplines.
