ClarkeModet has appointed Álvaro Ramos as Director of Domestic Business for Iberia, a position from which he will lead the company’s strategy and commercial activity in Spain and Portugal. His objective will be to accelerate the growth of the domestic business and develop new commercial opportunities in two of the Group’s key markets.
In the words of María Garaña, Global CEO of ClarkeModet, “Álvaro’s deep technical knowledge of data, IP, and new technologies, combined with his commercial experience, makes him a key figure in driving the growth of our operations in Spain and Portugal. His vision will be fundamental in continuing to connect intellectual property with our clients’ business strategies.”
For his part, Álvaro Ramos stated that his main objective at this stage is “to reinforce the value that ClarkeModet brings to the business community in Spain and Portugal. Innovation, data, and intangible assets continue to gain importance in the competitiveness of companies, and our commitment is to support them with expert solutions adapted to this new context.”

Álvaro is a lawyer specializing in new technologies, blockchain, data protection, and intellectual and industrial property, with over 25 years of experience advising companies on the management of their intangible assets. After more than 17 years at Abril Abogados, he joined ClarkeModet in 2018, where he has held various strategic positions within the group of companies. He has served as Director of New Technologies and Data Protection for ClarkeModet Spain and as an intellectual property consultant. Since 2018, he has also served as the group’s Data Protection Officer.
He holds a law degree from the Complutense University of Madrid, specializing in new technologies, and is a certified data protection officer for the Spanish Professional Association for Privacy (APEP). He also teaches at UDIT, the Garrigues Center for Studies, Carlos III University of Madrid, and the University of Navarra.
