Ceca Magán Abogados has promoted Esther Pérez to partner in its Corporate and M&A practice at its Madrid office, where she has spent much of her career. Her appointment marks a strategic step for the firm, which continues to strengthen one of its fastest-growing and most important practice areas.
Pérez has over 15 years of experience and has built a strong track record in corporate advisory, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. She advises national and international companies on corporate and contractual matters and has participated in numerous M&A transactions, investment processes and corporate reorganisations across a range of sectors.
Prior to her promotion, she served as director of the Corporate and M&A practice. Her work focuses on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and joint ventures, among other areas. Her professional profile is further enhanced by her academic activity: she lectures on the Master’s in Access to the Legal Profession and the Master’s in Corporate Law at the Higher Institute of Law and Economics (ISDE).
She also teaches on the Diploma of Advanced Specialisation in the Purchase and Sale of Assets and Businesses at the School of Legal Practice of the Complutense University of Madrid, and lectures on Commercial Practice in the Master’s in Business Law at the University of Navarra.
In addition, she acts as a mentor in the Women in a Legal World programme and collaborates with the Garrigues Centre for Studies, supporting young professionals in the development of their legal careers.
Pérez holds degrees in Law and Economics from Carlos III University of Madrid and a Master’s in Business Law from the University of Navarra, as well as an Executive Master’s in Fashion & Law from the Garrigues Centre for Studies. She has also completed the ESADE and CEOE Promociona programme, aimed at women in senior management, and the Legal Leadership Development Programme at Harvard Law School Executive Education and Women in a Legal World. She is a member of Women in a Legal World and the Fashion & Law Association.
