Baker McKenzie has appointed Lois Caeiro as its new partner in the Labor Law area in Spain, following a distinguished professional career at the firm, thus strengthening its ability to advise multinational groups in increasingly complex and globalized labor environments.
Lois Caeiro has been part of Baker McKenzie’s Employment Law practice since 2009 and has extensive experience advising national and international clients on all aspects of strategic labor relations management. Her practice encompasses risk identification and anticipation, the design and implementation of complex labor solutions, as well as the drafting and negotiation of contracts and labor compliance investigations in sophisticated environments. She also has significant expertise in advising technology companies, supporting them in environments of high innovation and constant transformation.
Lois also has extensive experience advising companies during key business moments, such as growth, reorganization, or transformation processes, including corporate transactions and international projects. She regularly assists clients in managing complex labor disputes, defending their interests in high-profile proceedings—including collective bargaining disputes—and representing them before major courts, such as the Supreme Court and the National Court.
Throughout her career, she has regularly participated in highly complex, multidisciplinary, and multijurisdictional projects, coordinating international teams and providing integrated solutions across different jurisdictions. This experience strengthens her ability to advise organizations with global structures that require consistent management of occupational risks and a aligned vision at both regional and international levels.
His international profile is further enhanced by his experience at Baker McKenzie offices in Chicago, London, and Stockholm, giving him a deep understanding of the needs of clients with a global presence and enabling him to contribute an approach fully aligned with the firm’s international network. He combines his professional practice with teaching as a professor in the Master’s Degree Program for Access to the Legal Profession at Carlos III University of Madrid.

Globally, Baker McKenzie has announced the promotion of 47 new partners effective from July 1, 2026 (with the exception of some locations in the Americas, including North America, where the promotions took effect at the beginning of the year).
These promotions reflect the firm’s ongoing investment in talent development and its strategy to strengthen the capabilities needed to advise multinational clients on complex, cross-border matters. During fiscal year 2026, Baker McKenzie also added 44 lateral partners, bringing its total to 91 new partners globally and reinforcing its ability to offer an integrated experience to clients across multiple markets.
The firm’s Transactional practice saw the highest number of promotions this year, followed by the Litigation, Commercial, and Tax practices, which tied for second and third place, respectively, in terms of the number of new partners promoted. Women account for 43% of this year’s promotions to partner.
