Azevedo Sette Advogados announced the addition of Simone Bento Martins Cirilo as a partner in its Belo Horizonte office. She has over 20 years of experience in resolving highly complex judicial and administrative tax disputes.

The new partner has a solid track record before administrative and higher courts, and notable experience representing multinational companies from a wide range of economic sectors in matters related to tax, social security and customs.
Simone will lead the tax litigation team, strengthening the firm’s tax practice in Minas Gerais, alongside tax advisory and wealth planning partners Leandra Guimarães, Bruno Felippe Almeida, and Frederico da Fonseca Silva. She holds a degree in Public Law from PUC Minas (2020), a postgraduate degree in Tax Law from IBET (2010), and studied Law at UFMG. Before joining Azevedo Sette, she worked as a partner and coordinator of the Tax Law practice at prestigious corporate law firms.
New partners
At the end of June 2026, the firm strengthened its Real Estate Law practice with the addition of Humberto Portela. And in April, Renato Lopes da Rocha was announced as a new partner in Tax Litigation (São Paulo office).
