Auren, a leading Spanish firm providing professional services globally in audit, legal advice, consulting and corporate services, announced its revenue results for the 2024-2025 financial year, which amount to 104 million euros, 8.1% more than the previous year.
The firm recorded growth in its main lines of business, reinforcing Auren’s commitment to a multidisciplinary professional services model. The Legal division’s turnover increased by 12.3% compared to the previous year, reaching €42.2 million. The Consulting division (People, Strategy and Processes, and Technology) grew by 4.6% to €34.7 million. Auditing grew by 4.8% to €23.8 million, while the Corporate Finance division totaled €3.4 million, up 19.7% on the previous year.
The year has been marked by a strategic milestone for the company: the entry of Waterland Private Equity as an investment partner, a transaction that is enabling the firm to accelerate its expansion plan, strengthen its technological capabilities, and boost the development of high value-added areas. During this period, Auren has driven corporate transactions such as the integration of Estudio Jurídico V2C Abogados , a law firm in Madrid, and has strengthened its internal structure by promoting four new partners, in addition to new hires in key positions, expanding specialized teams, and implementing technological solutions that optimize the efficiency and value of the services offered to clients.
Mario Alonso, president of Auren, pointed out that “this financial year has been particularly significant for the firm. Waterland’s entry places us in a strategic position within the sector, drives our growth, and strengthens our brand, as well as helping us attract high-level talent without compromising the essence and humanistic culture that have always characterized Auren.”
Looking ahead to the new financial year, Alonso has announced that the firm is working on more than 50 corporate transactions across all divisions and in different cities around the country, which will translate into significant growth for the company. “We expect to close between 20% and 30% this year. Initially, we thought we would double our size in three years, and today we believe we can achieve this sooner, expecting to reach 200 million in turnover,” he added.
He also highlighted Auren’s continued focus on areas that are setting the business agenda, such as technology-related services—with a special focus on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity—restructuring, tax compliance, and sustainability. In addition, the firm will continue to promote its comprehensive solutions that cover all of its clients’ business needs.
During 2025, the firm has seen a 5.2% increase in its workforce, reaching a total of 1,105 professionals spread across 15 offices throughout Spain. “Our commitment is to continue attracting talent that shares our values and our humanistic culture, based on trust, flexibility, and always putting people first. Our goal is to double our workforce over the next three years,” said Mario Alonso.
Auren ranked 8th in the latest ranking of professional firms in Spain and 29th in the world. In addition, Auren ranks 7th among law firms in Spain in terms of global turnover.
The firm recently hired Eduardo Romero to the Board of Directors of Auren, made up of four professional partners: Mario Alonso, José Luis Galipienso, Ignacio Irígoras, and now Eduardo Romero, alongside David Torralba and Matthias Geyssens, representing Waterland.
Advancing equality and sustainability
The firm also continues to promote equality and diversity as part of the Second Equality Plan signed in 2023. Currently, 56% of Auren’s professionals are women, and 40% of management and executive positions are held by women. In addition, the firm has a female leadership program, Auren Woman Leadership, aimed at promoting the development of women towards positions of greater responsibility. This year, it held the first edition of a mentoring program that reinforces the firm’s commitment to female leadership, inclusion, and talent development at all levels.
In terms of sustainability, Auren has reduced its carbon footprint by 21% in the last year, an achievement that reflects the effectiveness of its efficiency measures and its firm commitment to decarbonization and the application of good environmental practices. “Being sustainable is part of our mission, and we work to ensure that our clients are too,” Alonso emphasized.
All these actions are part of an ambitious transformation plan focused on technology, talent, and innovation, with key advances in artificial intelligence, sustainability, equality, brand strengthening, and national and international expansion. These initiatives reinforce Auren’s commitment to high value-added services and support the strategic objective of doubling the size of the firm in the coming years.
