Auren strengthened its Economic Criminal Law area with the incorporation of Juan Antonio García Jabaloy as of counsel, thus consolidating its commitment to specialized legal advice in international judicial cooperation and cross-border crime at the national and international level.

More from Juan Antonio García Jabaloy
García Jabaloy is a criminal lawyer with over 25 years of experience in the Public Prosecutor’s Office. During his time at the National Court (2004–2016), he served as a prosecutor and coordinator of extraditions and European arrest warrants (2012–2016), participating in numerous proceedings related to economic crime. He also acted as the contact point for IberRed (Ibero-American Network for Judicial Cooperation) and the European Judicial Network at the National Court.
Between 2006 and 2012 he served as Spain’s National Member at Eurojust (The Hague), where he was responsible for the Spanish delegation and chaired the joint working group created between the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) and Eurojust, on international judicial cooperation.
Previously, he was a prosecutor at the High Court of Justice of Catalonia and the High Court of Justice of the Valencian Community, accumulating extensive experience in the field of criminal law and judicial cooperation.
He has also participated as an expert for UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime) in international judicial cooperation projects in various regions such as Latin America, West Africa, the Maghreb and the Middle East.
Currently on leave from the Public Prosecutor’s Office, he practices as a lawyer specializing in Economic Criminal Law and International Criminal Law. Before joining Auren, he worked at various law firms, including DLA Piper, where he was a partner for ten years. He also currently serves as co-president of the Criminal Law Section of the Madrid Bar Association, a position he has held since 2016.
With this addition, Auren continues to strengthen its value proposition in the legal field, focusing on highly specialized profiles with experience in complex environments.
