KLA announced the addition of Maurício Veiga as a partner to strengthen the areas of Corporate Law, M&A and Infrastructure.
Maurício has nearly 12 years of experience advising Brazilian and international clients on mergers and acquisitions and private equity, representing investment funds, multinational corporations, and financial institutions. Maurício also works on infrastructure projects in Brazil, from structuring and implementation to operation, with a strong presence in the energy sector, including distributed generation and self-production energy projects.
Before joining KLA, Maurício worked at renowned firms in the Brazilian legal market, gaining experience in large-scale and highly complex transactions. A graduate in Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas, Maurício also holds a Master of Science in Decision Making and Applied Analytics from Minerva University (San Francisco, USA), with a thesis on the valuation of artificial intelligence companies by venture capital funds. He participated in an exchange program in International Business Law at Tilburg University (Netherlands).
In the assessment of KLA’s Executive Committee, the addition of Maurício to the partnership reflects the firm’s commitment to bringing together professionals with strong technical skills and a consistent business orientation, expanding the coordinated, strategic and highly specialized support to its clients.
“Mauricio’s integration into our team comes at the ideal time to meet our clients’ needs, especially in conducting significant transactions in the technology, energy, and infrastructure sectors. We are very excited about his arrival,” said Founding Partner Karin Alvo, a member of KLA’s Executive Committee and Corporate Law, M&A, Private Equity, and Venture Capital team.
