Raquel Galvão Silva has been appointed as a partner at Linklaters in Lisbon

The firm has appointed 37 new partners in 12 jurisdictions around the world

Linklaters has appointed Raquel Galvão Silva as a partner in its Lisbon office.

Upon her appointment, Raquel Galvão Silva said: “It is a great honour to be appointed partner at Linklaters, the firm where I began my career. This appointment reflects the trust our clients place in us and recognises the quality of the work delivered by the Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations team. I take on this role with a strong sense of responsibility and remain committed to supporting our clients with the same rigour and dedication, while continuing to build on our work.”

Nuno Lousa, partner in charge of the Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations practice in Lisbon, added: “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Raquel Galvão Silva as partner. She has played a key role in the development of our practice, standing out for her technical expertise, strategic judgement and ability to lead teams on complex matters. This appointment reflects both her professional merits and the firm’s continued confidence in her leadership.”

Raquel Galvão Silva joined Linklaters in 2007 and has spent her entire career in the firm’s Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations practice. She advises on both domestic and international arbitration and litigation, with a focus on commercial and corporate, banking and finance, construction, healthcare and public law disputes.

She also has experience across a broad range of intellectual property matters, particularly in the healthcare and technology sectors, including pharmaceutical regulatory issues, patents and licensing, and technology contracts. She is a member of Linklaters’ International Arbitration Group and Africa Group, with a focus on Brazil and Portuguese-speaking African jurisdictions.

Linklaters has appointed 37 new partners across 12 jurisdictions globally. Commenting on the promotions, Aedamar Comiskey, senior partner and chair of Linklaters, said: “This year’s cohort is exceptional, and I am proud to welcome them to the partnership. From 1 May, the Lisbon office will have a total of 11 partners, further consolidating its position in the Portuguese legal market.
