By Heidi Maldonado

Vinson & Elkins announced the arrival of Enrique Dancausa as a partner in its New York-based Corporate Law department. The lawyer will also focus on the infrastructure and energy sector, with an emphasis on Latin America.

“Enrique’s extensive experience in the energy, technology and electricity sectors, as well as his relationships in the United States, Europe and Latin America, are a perfect fit for our work of helping clients realize complex infrastructure projects globally,” said John Grand, co-head of the Corporate Law practice at Vinson & Elkins.

“Enrique is a highly regarded cross-border transaction lawyer with a deep understanding of the Latin American market and the complex business dynamics that influence investments throughout the region,” said Melissa Raciti-Knapp, partner in the Finance practice at Vinson & Elkins. “His experience in mergers and acquisitions and corporate law is an exceptional complement to our project finance capabilities, and together we will be even better positioned to help clients capitalize on strategic opportunities in the energy, infrastructure, and telecommunications sectors.”

“Vinson & Elkins has created an exceptional platform to advise clients on significant transactions and projects in the energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors,” said Dancausa. “The opportunity to join this talented team and contribute to the continued growth of the firm’s cross-border mergers and acquisitions capabilities was particularly appealing.”
