SiqueiraCastro Advogados announced the addition of three new equity partners to its Tax practice: Richard Edward Dotoli, Victor Schmidt Dias Corrêa, and Nathalia de Andrade Medeiros Tavares. They bring with them a team of seven associates, in a move that represents the incorporation of a complete tax practice. With this addition, the firm’s Tax practice now has seven partners and 30 associates distributed throughout Brazil.
The move marks the acquisition of a complete tax practice, reshaping the firm’s capabilities in one of the most strategic areas of Brazilian business law. The practice now offers comprehensive coverage of tax matters, combining consulting, litigation, transaction structuring, long-term planning, and regulatory engagement, both domestically and internationally.

With nearly 30 years of experience in tax law, Richard Edward Dotoli is a highly regarded tax specialist, specializing in strategic tax matters. Dotoli had previously worked at SiqueiraCastro earlier in his career.
His practice focuses on the taxation of structured transactions, estate planning, inheritance law, and real estate deals. Throughout his career, he has been repeatedly recognized by Análise Advocacia as one of the most admired lawyers in tax law, as well as by Chambers Latin America and Leaders League.
Dotoli also has a solid academic background: he holds a PhD in Public Finance, Taxation and Development from UERJ, and is a postgraduate professor of Tax Law at UERJ and FGV-RJ.
“My work has always been focused on building strategic tax solutions, aligned with clients’ long-term objectives. Rejoining SiqueiraCastro allows me to strengthen that approach within a structure with a strong multidisciplinary capacity,” he stated.
Victor Schmidt Dias Corrêa has nearly 15 years of experience in tax consulting, with a focus on direct and indirect taxes, international taxation, investment funds, corporate operations and asset restructurings.
Recognized by the Análise Advocacia, Leaders League and The Best Lawyers in Brazil rankings, his practice is geared towards risk mitigation and building efficient legal solutions aligned with clients’ business strategy.
Corrêa holds a law degree from UFRJ, a postgraduate degree in Corporate Law from IBMEC, and a specialization in Tax Accounting from FGV. He also holds an international certification as an Advanced Professional in International Taxation from IBFD and has completed training in Financial Analysis and Valuation for Lawyers at Harvard Law School. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Finance, Taxation, and Development at UERJ.

Nathalia de Andrade Medeiros Tavares has over fifteen years of experience in tax, customs, and regulatory consulting, both in advisory and litigation roles. Throughout her career, she has appeared before the Administrative Council of Tax Appeals (CARF), contributing to the formation of precedents that have impacted jurisprudence in higher courts.
The new partner’s academic background is internationally recognized: she holds a PhD in Public Finance, Taxation and Development from UERJ, a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a Master’s degree in Public Finance from UERJ. She is also the author of books, articles, and publications on Tax, Customs, and Financial Law, and teaches in the field.
