The Spanish Association of Automotive Suppliers (Sernauto) y Broseta, A leading law firm in the legal sector, they signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of boosting the competitiveness of the Spanish automotive components industry and exploring new opportunities in strategic sectors, especially defense.
The current context of the automotive sector, marked by stagnant demand and a sustained decline in production volumes in Europe, is driving suppliers to diversify their activity towards industries with growth prospects. In this scenario, the defense sector—which is booming in Spain and Europe due to increased budgets for security and military capabilities—is emerging as an area with potential for the automotive supplier network, given its high technological, productive, and industrial capacity.
Broseta has extensive experience advising companies in the automotive industry on tax, labor, commercial, and administrative matters, as well as on processes for obtaining financing and public funds. The firm also offers cross-cutting advice to companies in the defense and security industry, an area that is currently of particular relevance to the automotive sector due to the synergies that may exist between the two industries, and in which Broseta has extensive experience offering services in administrative matters, compliance, and M&A processes. among others.
With this agreement, the firm and the association of automotive suppliers will also promote and develop training and outreach initiatives in the defense and security sector, as well as providing strategic support to identify opportunities and issues that may be of interest to Sernauto members.
