The latest edition of the Rock & Law Festival has raised over €51,000, which will be donated to the "Close to Childhood" project promoted by the Prójimo Próximo Foundation. Representatives from the festival's sponsoring foundations—the Garrigues Foundation, the Cuatrecasas Foundation, the Fernando Pombo Foundation, and the Professor Uría Foundation—officially presented the €51,918 raised this year, reaffirming the legal sector's commitment to social causes.
The festival, held on October 11th at the Caja Mágica in Madrid, brought together more than 1,500 people for an evening in which lawyers set aside their rivalries to take to the stage for a charitable cause. The participating bands, comprised of members from firms such as A&O Sherman, Baker McKenzie, CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo, Cuatrecasas, Deloitte Abogados, DLA Piper, EY Abogados, Freshfields, Garrigues, Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, Lesayra, Linklaters, Uría Menéndez, and Watson Farley Williams, delivered an unforgettable performance. The music, with a repertoire ranging from rock classics to contemporary hits, united the legal profession in a unique evening of talent, fun, and solidarity, hosted by journalist Gloria Serra.
All proceeds will go to the "Close to Childhood" project of the Prójimo Próximo Foundation, which works to improve the quality of life and social inclusion of children and young people with disabilities and limited financial resources. The funds will finance medical treatments, specialized therapies, and essential assistive devices for the beneficiary families.
