Miranda & Amado and Pérez-Llorca have completed their integration, announced last May, following approval by the partners and governing bodies of both firms. This marks a milestone for the legal market by uniting two leading firms in their respective jurisdictions into a single, fully integrated platform that is a leader in the Ibero-American market.
Pérez-Llorca will have approximately 1,300 professionals and a presence in Barcelona, Bogotá, Brussels, Mexico City, Lima, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Medellín, Monterrey, New York and Singapore, in addition to Abu Dhabi , whose recent opening makes Pérez-Llorca the first Ibero-American firm with a physical presence in this international financial center.
Pedro Pérez-Llorca, managing partner of Pérez-Llorca, stated that “the integration with Miranda & Amado represents a decisive step in our international strategy. We have built a unique platform to support our clients in the main investment corridors between Europe and Latin America and strengthen our ability to connect this axis with some of the world’s most important capital centers, including Asia and the Middle East. Our goal is to be the leading firm for the most sophisticated transactions and matters in the Ibero-American region.”
For his part, Iván Delgado, International Executive Partner at Pérez-Llorca, said that “the integration of Miranda & Amado and the opening of Abu Dhabi are complementary milestones within the same project. We want to be present in both capital-generating markets and those offering the best investment and growth opportunities. This combination allows us to connect international investors with strategic projects in Europe and Latin America through a single integrated platform.”
Luis Miranda, founding partner of Miranda & Amado, emphasized that “this integration combines Miranda & Amado’s local leadership and expertise with a world-class international platform. We share a common vision of excellence, ambition, and client service, and we are convinced that this union will allow us to offer differentiated advice to companies and investors who are increasingly operating beyond their traditional markets.”
Miranda & Amado has grown by 30% in the last four years, while Pérez-Llorca has grown by more than 87% during the same period. Following the merger, Pérez-Llorca’s pro forma global sales for the last twelve months are estimated to reach approximately $280 million.
The integration strengthens Pérez-Llorca’s ability to advise sovereign wealth funds, institutional investors, financial entities, large corporations and international law firms on their major transactions, financing, litigation and international arbitrations, as well as on their most complex and strategic regulatory issues, connecting Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America.
The Lima office will be fully integrated into Pérez-Llorca’s structure, governance, and operating model. Peruvian partners will join Pérez-Llorca’s governing bodies and assume leadership positions in key international practices, while in-country management will be led by an Executive Committee composed of local partners.
Also, during a transitional period, the firm will operate in the Peruvian market under the name Pérez-Llorca, Miranda & Amado before adopting the brand Pérez-Llorca Perú.
