The Ecuadorian law firm Pérez Bustamante & Ponce (PBP) announced the appointment of Sandra Reed as its new president, and Juan Gabriel Reyes as its new managing partner.
Sandy has over four decades of experience in the profession, particularly in infrastructure projects and their financing. She has also led the Fabián Ponce Ordóñez Foundation and has been involved in numerous professional association and corporate social responsibility projects.
Chambers Latin America has characterized her as a “Distinguished Partner” and “highly sought after by leading figures in the infrastructure and energy sectors for her outstanding track record as an advisor in complex negotiations.”
Juan Gabriel, for his part, has led the tax practices and the 'Family Office', in addition to being a professor at the College of Jurisprudence of the San Francisco de Quito University; he is also president of the Tax Commission of the Ecuador chapter of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
The most recent edition of Chambers Latin America identifies him as “The renowned partner[…] "It is the first choice in the Ecuadorian tax market for complex matters related to tax planning and structuring," and places it at the top of the tax professionals in Ecuador.
The partners have tasked Sandy and Juan Gabriel with deepening PBP's footprint in customer support, mentoring young professionals, technological innovation, diversity, and corporate social responsibility, through the Fabián Ponce Ordóñez Foundation.
