Mirlo announced the addition of Lorenzo Hernández as a partner, effective October 1. Lorenzo joins Jorge Perujo and Alfonso Carrillo to jointly drive the firm’s growth, reinforcing its commitment to the Corporate, M&A, and Energy sectors, as well as its development in Mexico and Latin America.
“From the beginning, Lorenzo and I shared the same vision for what we want Mirlo to be: a firm that is very close to its clients, with experienced lawyers, business acumen, and a clear international focus. His experience in both Spain and Mexico is fundamental to the project we are building,” said Jorge Perujo, founding partner of Mirlo.
“The addition of Lorenzo strengthens and completes our advisory offering. His expertise in the energy sector allows us to offer our clients real coverage in a high-activity area, both in transactions and litigation. He is exactly the profile Mirlo needed to continue growing,” added Alfonso Carrillo, founding partner of Mirlo.
More from Lorenzo Hernández
He has 20 years of professional experience and has developed a good part of his career between Spain and Mexico, where he is also qualified to practice law and holds the position of secretary of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce.
For over a decade, he resided in Mexico, where he advised European investors, primarily Spanish, on their operations and projects in the country, building a solid business and institutional network on both sides of the Atlantic. Since returning to Spain, he has maintained a professional activity closely linked to Mexico, supporting both Spanish companies in their investments and operations in Latin America, and Mexican companies and groups in their entry and expansion into the Spanish market.
His practice combines corporate and M&A advisory services with extensive experience in the energy sector, particularly in renewable energy projects. Lorenzo also teaches at IE Business School, where he lectures on business development, internationalization, and law firm management.
Joining Lorenzo is Caridad Senderos, a Mexican lawyer authorized to practice in Spain, with a Master’s degree in Business Law from IE University and specialized training in compliance, an area in which she holds CESCOM certification. Her arrival strengthens Mirlo’s ability to serve Mexican and Spanish clients with interests in both markets from Madrid.
With these additions, Mirlo now has a team of four partners and nine professionals of different nationalities – Spanish, Mexican, Colombian and Chilean – consolidating its vocation as a genuinely Ibero-American firm.
