Kennedys announces 85 senior promotions globally, including five in Latin America

Kennedy announced 85 senior appointments as part of this year’s global promotion round, including five promotions in its Latin American offices. The appointments, which include 35 promotions to legal director (also known as of counsel or special counsel in some jurisdictions) and 50 promotions to senior associate globally, recognize the significant contributions of these individuals to our clients, our teams, and the firm’s continued growth.

Commenting on the promotions, John Bruce, senior partner, noted that “investing in our people remains fundamental to Kennedys’ continued success. I am extremely pleased to see so many colleagues receiving this recognition this year. Their experience, commitment, and ambition help us deliver exceptional service to our clients, while also strengthening the future of our firm globally.”

The lawyers promoted in Latin America are:

Legal directors / of counsel / special counsel

  • George Phillips – Insurance Coverage, Mexico City, Mexico.
  • Pablo Lara – Corporate and Commercial, Santiago, Chile.

 

Senior associates

  • Alejandra Vicuña – Insurance Coverage, Lima, Peru.
  • Gerson Vega – Corporate and Commercial, Lima, Peru.
  • Marco Torres Gallo – Insurance Litigation, Mexico City, Mexico.

 

Commenting on the regional promotions, Michael Hennessy, regional managing partner for Latin America, noted that “with these appointments, we aim to encourage our teams in Latin America to continue striving for excellence, not only by achieving outstanding results and maintaining the quality of our work, but also by fostering teamwork, financial performance, and customer service. We are confident that these promotions will further strengthen our leadership and capabilities throughout the region.”

The promotions follow another successful year for Kennedys, which reported record revenues of £457 million in fiscal year 2026. The firm has also continued to invest in its technology and innovation capabilities, including the appointment of Milan Devani as Chief Information Officer, as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting its clients and driving the growth of its global business.
