Harvey, an AI platform for the legal sector, has just announced the acquisition of Aida, an AI-native sales platform founded by Piyush Prahladka, co-founder of Glean, and Atish Das Sarma, who previously led engineering, data science, and growth teams at Patreon, Apple, and X. The co-founders and their team of engineers specializing in search and machine learning will join Harvey’s Product and Engineering team. This is Harvey’s fifth acquisition since the beginning of the year, following Guardrails in September and Benchmark in July.
The acquisition will accelerate Harvey’s work supporting law firms in building their own ontology, providing the essential context to optimize the effectiveness of every agent, model, and product the organization uses. As context becomes a competitive advantage for organizations, those that best master their own knowledge will be positioned to differentiate themselves. Aida’s unique capabilities in advanced search and machine learning complement the work already being done across Harvey’s product ecosystem, enabling law firms to control, organize, and optimize their internal knowledge.
Winston Weinberg, CEO of Harvey, stated, “Legal teams accumulate decades of valuable knowledge, trapped in documents and systems that are difficult to access and interconnect. Making that knowledge securely accessible will radically transform the way they work. Piyush and Atish have extensive experience addressing this challenge, and their team will help us make Harvey even more powerful for our clients. We are delighted to welcome Aida to Harvey.”
Piyush Prahladka, co-founder of Aida, stated, “We founded Aida because we believed that AI could understand the context of people’s work, interconnect information scattered across different systems, and transform that knowledge into action. Joining Harvey gives us the opportunity to realize this vision on a global scale, in one of the world’s most knowledge-intensive professions. We are very excited about what we can build together.”
