Grupo Tirant arrives in Argentina with the integration of elDial

By Heidi Maldonado

The Tirant lo Blanch Group continues its international expansion with its arrival in Argentina, one of the most important legal markets in Latin America. This entry into the country comes with the integration of Albremática SA, the Argentine company responsible for the renowned legal information platform elDial.

With this move, Tirant expands its physical presence to nine countries (Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Brazil, Costa Rica, Peru, El Salvador and Argentina) and consolidates an international expansion that leads the Group to operate in practically all of Latin America.

Salvador Vives, president of the Tirant lo Blanch Group, stated that “our goal is to consolidate our position as the leading legal information company in Spain and Spanish-speaking Latin America. Within this framework, Argentina occupies a strategic place due to the relevance and size of its legal community, the strength of its academic tradition, and the dynamism of its legal market.”

elDial, starting point for growth in Argentina

This new milestone will allow Tirant to approach its arrival in Argentina from a consolidated structure and with a deep knowledge of the local legal market.

The two companies have maintained a close relationship for years. “ElDial is a company with which we have had a long-standing relationship of trust, built on a shared vision of serving legal professionals. Its integration into the Tirant Group will allow us to expand our capabilities, strengthen our value proposition, and offer the Argentine market more comprehensive, innovative, and specialized legal solutions,” explained Salvador Vives.

Following this integration, Tirant will progressively develop its various business areas in Argentina. Technology will play a particularly important role, leveraging elDial’s capabilities and market position to drive new solutions, while the Group expands its presence in specialized legal knowledge and training.

Vives concluded that “we come with a willingness to listen, learn, and collaborate closely with your lawyers, academics, and institutions. We want to grow alongside the Argentine legal community and become a useful, accessible, and reliable resource to support your daily work. We come, as always, with the enthusiasm to do a good job.”

Tirant was founded in Valencia five decades ago as a legal publisher and still maintains its headquarters and the core of a company that has profoundly transformed its business model in the city. Currently, the Group operates in three main areas (technology, publishing, and training) and has a team of over 400 professionals.

“We have gone from a local business to a multinational business, from a traditional company to the digital ecosystem, and from a unique business to a business diversified in revenue with three lines of business,” summarized Salvador Vives.

In this evolution, technology has become one of Tirant’s main drivers of growth. The company has an in-house team of professionals dedicated exclusively to technology, artificial intelligence, and innovation, and more than three million users access its legaltech platforms and solutions.

The Group’s technological commitment also stems from one of the assets it has built during its five decades of history.

“Tirant starts from a unique position of differentiation because it combines one of the largest legal corpuses in Spanish with technological tools specifically designed for lawyers, allowing them to work with verified information, rigorous criteria, and solutions geared towards daily practice. This combination allows us to offer a solid and completely differentiated proposal, aimed at generating real value for our clients and for the entire legal community,” explained Vives.

This new phase of expansion also comes at a time of profound change for the legal sector, marked especially by the incorporation of generative artificial intelligence into professional practice.

Salvador Vives stated that “generative artificial intelligence is radically transforming our clients and us along with them. It has brought about an unprecedented change in our company and our product, which has gone from being a consultation tool to a consultation and work tool. Today we offer solutions that provide much more value to our clients and bring us closer to them.”

Looking ahead, Salvador believes that “the future of the legal sector in Latin America, as throughout the world, will be marked by the integration of technology, specialized knowledge and artificial intelligence in professional practice.”
