DLA Piper continues to strengthen its Environmental Regulation practice with the addition of Adrián del Paso as a partner in the firm’s Mexico City office. Del Paso joins the firm along with his experienced team.
“We are pleased to welcome Adrián, whose extensive experience and deep knowledge of environmental and life sciences law significantly strengthen our capabilities in Mexico and globally”, said Francisco Cerezo, president of DLA Piper’s US-Latin America practice.
With more than two decades of experience, Del Paso has a strong practice in environmental law, life sciences and regulation, advising highly regulated sectors such as pharmaceutical and health, chemical and agrochemical, metallurgy and mining, energy and infrastructure, hospitality and real estate, among others.
His professional practice focuses on advising clients—both in Mexico and multinational companies—on regulatory compliance within the country’s complex and dynamic environmental, regulatory, and life sciences legal frameworks. He also provides support in transactional operations, due diligence processes, and advice related to mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions in these areas. Additionally, he advises on day-to-day business operations, permitting strategies, particularly for large-scale or critical projects, and administrative litigation before Mexican authorities.
