Dias Carneiro Advogados announced two new advisors. Fernando Becker Mau joins the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) practice, and Cíntia Rosa is promoted to the Compliance and Corporate Investigations practice. The firm aims to expand its support for corporate and financial transactions while strengthening its capabilities in regulatory compliance, enforcement, and advising on economic sanctions.
With over 14 years of experience, Fernando advises national and international clients, including financial institutions, publicly traded companies, multinational corporations, and sponsors, on complex matters related to corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and financing. His practice encompasses mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, corporate reorganizations, investments, local and international financing, bilateral and syndicated loan transactions, acquisition finance, structured finance transactions, and debt issuances in the Brazilian and international capital markets.
With a distinguished international career, Becker earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from New York University School of Law and worked in New York as an international associate at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, specializing in Corporate Law and Mergers and Acquisitions. He also holds a specialization in Corporate Structures and Transactions from the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and a law degree from Mackenzie Presbyterian University.

Cíntia Rosa, for her part, also assumes the position of advisor in recognition of her work at the firm, where she has implemented and improved compliance programs and investigations, collaborated with the authorities of Brazil and the United States, and advised on matters of corruption, cartels and fraud.
Before joining Dias Carneiro Advogados, he worked for almost eight years at the international law firm Hogan Lovells, where he participated in highly complex, multi-jurisdictional investigations and law enforcement matters involving multinational companies and various authorities, including the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Throughout her career, Cíntia has increasingly focused on technology and digital markets, particularly in light of the regulatory and governance challenges arising from evolving business models and the intensive use of data. During a stint with Meta’s Regulatory Compliance team in California, she had the opportunity to experience these challenges firsthand within a global technology company, thus deepening her expertise in regulatory compliance and governance related to competition in digital markets.
His experience also covers economic sanctions and export controls, including enforcement matters with U.S. authorities, risk assessments and risk matrices, as well as the design and evaluation of controls and monitoring mechanisms intended to identify and mitigate exposure.

Cíntia holds an MBA in Data Science and Analytics and has experience in data analysis, forensics, and legal technology solutions, skills she applies in her professional practice. Her technical background allows her to integrate technology and data into risk analysis, investigations, and the development and evaluation of compliance and governance mechanisms.
