Azevedo Sette Advogados announced that Renato Lopes da Rocha has joined as a partner in the São Paulo office. He has over 20 years of experience in tax consulting and litigation, both administrative and judicial.

The new partner has a solid track record in Administrative Courts and Higher Courts, primarily representing companies in the mining, industrial, steel, commercial, educational, healthcare, and consumer goods sectors. With the arrival of Renato and three other lawyers, all with excellent experience and training in their respective fields, our team is further strengthened by our already prestigious tax practice. Renato will work on litigation alongside partner Paulo Penteado de Faria e Silva Neto, with a particular focus on advisory services.
Renato is a specialist in Tax Law from IBET (2006), holds a postgraduate degree in Corporate Law from IBMEC (2008), and has completed extension courses from the Brazilian Association of International Banks on the main aspects of taxation in financial and capital markets (2016), taxation of corporate structures and companies from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (2016), stakeholder groups and ESG from the FIA Business School, and the Fundamentals of Leadership course from the London School of Business Administration. He has also completed continuing education courses on Consumer Tax Reform at the Fundação Arcadas and on Agile Leadership and Executive Communication from Hyper Island Brasil (2016).
Before joining Azevedo Sette, he worked as a partner in the tax area of a prestigious corporate law firm, where he was a mentor in a tutoring project for law students and graduates from developing countries within the Global Scholarship Program.
Renato is recognized by the international guides Chambers Brazil, The Legal 500, LL 250 and Leaders League as an outstanding professional in tax litigation and tax consulting.
