Andersen has appointed Juan Martínez as a partner in its Tax department. Mr. Martínez has over 25 years of experience advising international groups and high-net-worth individuals on tax matters, with a particular focus on international taxation, cross-border transactions, and transfer pricing. His addition strengthens the firm’s ability to support clients with complex tax needs in an environment characterized by the globalization of business, increasing regulatory pressure, and the need for tax-efficient and secure structures.
Upon his arrival, José Vicente Morote, managing partner of Andersen Iberia, stated that “Juan’s addition strengthens a key practice area for Andersen, especially at a time when companies, international groups, and high-net-worth individuals require highly specialized, coordinated, and globally focused tax advice. His experience in international taxation and transfer pricing perfectly aligns with our strategic advisory model, which focuses on complex, high-value-added matters.”
Juan Martínez holds a law degree from the University of Valencia. He completed his studies at Leiden University, specializing in international taxation and transfer pricing, and has also completed specific programs at both IESE Business School and the University of Oxford. He has developed his professional career in international firms, focusing on corporate clients and startups, primarily those with an international presence or that conduct cross-border transactions. He combines his professional activity with teaching at business schools and speaking at international tax and transfer pricing events.
On the occasion of their joining, Borja de Gabriel and Pablo Gómez-Acebo, co-directors of the Tax department, stated that “international tax advice is one of the most important aspects of the service we provide to our clients, due to its impact on strategic decision-making, and this addition allows us to continue supporting international companies and groups in their expansion and transformation processes, especially those of great complexity that require highly specialized advice.”
