Ecija has added Cristina de Andrés Blanco to its Real Estate and Urban Planning practice in Madrid, strengthening a strategic area for the firm and expanding its capabilities to advise national and international investors on complex and high-value real estate transactions.
Prior to joining Ecija, Cristina spent over 11 years working at Jones Day. Before that, she was part of the Urban Planning department at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo for eight years.

With over 18 years of experience, Cristina specializes in Real Estate and Urban Planning Law, combining extensive experience in transactional matters with a strong background in Urban and Administrative Law. She regularly advises institutional investors, private equity funds, asset managers, developers, and financial institutions on domestic and cross-border transactions.
His practice covers the entire real estate investment cycle, including acquisitions and divestments, joint ventures, development projects, sale and leaseback transactions, and financing, as well as urban planning issues, permits, licenses, and other regulatory matters. Throughout his career, he has worked with some of the most active investors in the Spanish real estate market and has particular expertise in the logistics, residential and build-to-rent, student housing, hotel, office, and alternative real estate investment sectors.
She holds a law degree from the University of Valladolid and has furthered her education with specialized programs at IE Law School and Harvard Law School Executive Education. Her career has been recognized by The Legal 500 EMEA in the Real Estate and Construction sector. She is also a member of Women in Real Estate Spain (WIRES) and Women in a Legal World (WLW).
His addition follows the recent arrival of Iván Azinovic to Ecija, and represents a further step in the firm’s strategy to continue building a top-tier real estate and urban planning practice, capable of combining transactional, regulatory and business knowledge.
Cristina’s arrival is part of the growth strategy that Ecija is promoting in Spain and adds to the recent reinforcements of Eva Santervás in Financial Regulation, Eduardo Gómez de Enterría in Labor and María Cortizas in Tax, as well as the integration of the LEAN Abogados team in Seville and the incorporation of Juan Luis Moreno to lead The Garage by ECIJA.
