Ecija continues its growth strategy by strengthening its Madrid office and expanding its service offering with the addition of Eva Santervás, who joins the firm as a partner to strengthen the Financial Regulation practice in Spain.
Santervás joins from Deloitte Legal, where he has spent the last 15 years developing his professional career specializing in financial regulation. Throughout his career, he has advised some of the leading Spanish and international financial institutions and fintech companies on matters such as banking and payment services, electronic money, consumer credit, anti-money laundering, and digital assets.

The addition of Santervás will allow Ecija to expand its service offering for the financial sector and complement the capabilities of its Banking & Finance team, especially strengthening regulatory advice and synergies with other areas of the firm related to fintech, digital assets, technology, data protection, compliance and Corporate/M&A.

He also has extensive experience in projects that combine regulation and technology, including authorization and start-up processes for new entities, product launches, international expansion, and projects related to crypto assets, tokenization, cryptocurrency payments, fan tokens, and NFTs.
Santervás’s career has been recognized by some of the leading directories and publications in the sector. In 2022, she was the first associate recognized by Chambers Europe as an Associate to Watch in Financial Services Regulation; in 2023, Expansión included her among the most promising business lawyers in Spain; and in 2024, she was a finalist for Euromoney’s Women in Business Law Awards in the Financial Regulation Lawyer of the Year category. She is also a member of Women in Banking Spain, an initiative that promotes greater representation of women in leadership positions in the financial sector.
