Pérez-Llorca in Peru strengthens and diversifies its tax practice with the addition of Arturo Tuesta, Paola Saavedra, and Ronald Vargas as partners. Previously partners at a Big Four firm in Peru, they join a team of 13 professionals, including lawyers and accounting and tax specialists. These are the first partner appointments in Peru following the integration of Miranda & Amado and Pérez-Llorca , and they allow the firm to expand the tax services it offers its clients.
Arturo Tuesta has 34 years of experience and a strong reputation for advising leading Peruvian companies on M&A and Wealth Management transactions. Prior to joining Pérez-Llorca in Peru, he was the head of tax at a Big Four firm in the country.
Paola Saavedra’s practice is primarily focused on serving Wealth Management clients and advising on tax compliance and audit procedures for companies in the infrastructure and energy sectors.
Ronald Vargas stands out for his tax advice to companies in the financial, real estate and agribusiness sectors, as well as for his experience in international taxation and in tax audit and litigation processes.
Tuesta, Saavedra and Vargas join partner Pablo Sotomayor, who has 25 years of professional experience, 21 of them at the firm, and together they will form one of the largest tax practices in Peru.

Pérez-Llorca has appointed Luís Roquette Geraldes and Martim Teixeira as new partners of the Lisbon office. The incorporation of Luís Roquette Geraldes consolidates the Iberian and Ibero-American practice of Emerging Companies and Venture Capital (ECVC), while Martim Teixeira reinforces the Fiscal area of customs clearance in Portugal, especially in the tax litigation field.
Luís Roquette Geraldes has joined the firm to lead its new Emerging Companies and Venture Capital (ECVC) practice in Lisbon. Prior to joining, he was a partner in the Corporate and M&A practice and head of the startup and venture capital team at a leading Portuguese firm, where he also coordinated the Private Equity practice. With a particular focus on the technology and life sciences sectors, Luís’s practice centers on Emerging Companies and Private Capital. Throughout his career, he has led hundreds of funding rounds in more than 20 jurisdictions and has advised both high-growth companies and international and local funds on cross-border transactions.
Martim Teixeira joins the firm as a partner in the Tax practice in Lisbon. With 15 years of experience, he specializes in tax advice for foreign investors and multinational groups, both in domestic and international investment transactions and in the tax structuring of M&A, private equity, and highly complex financial transactions. He also has extensive experience in tax litigation, representing clients in proceedings before the Portuguese Tax Authority and courts.
