SiqueiraCastro announced the promotion of four associate lawyers to the equity partner ranks in two practice areas: Strategic Litigation and Arbitration, and Corporate Criminal Law. All four are in-house professionals who have built their careers within the firm and join the company with a deep understanding of SiqueiraCastro’s culture, clients, and working methodology.

Strategic Litigation and Arbitration: Expansion and Strategy
Strategic litigation and arbitration is one of SiqueiraCastro’s priority growth areas. With the addition of two new equity partners, the practice area is expanding its leadership capabilities to accelerate market share acquisition in complex disputes, national and international arbitrations, mediation, and strategic advice in highly complex commercial litigation.
Caroline Gomes Tabach da Rocha has over 15 years of experience managing highly complex judicial and arbitration proceedings, as well as mediation. With the firm since 2013, she handles national and international litigation and arbitration cases covering civil liability and contracts, corporate disputes, regulatory matters, insurance, public mismanagement liability, unfair competition, and estate planning.
“I have built my professional career mostly at SiqueiraCastro. This promotion is recognition of work that has always focused on delivering effective solutions for our clients, with strategy and technical depth,” said Caroline.
Meanwhile, Alberto Luiz Raffaini de Almeida Santos has over 15 years of experience in complex commercial litigation. His practice focuses on civil, corporate, real estate, and urban planning law, with consolidated expertise in the strategic management of lawsuits, dispute resolution, and high-value negotiations.

Corporate criminal law: federalized leadership with regional knowledge
The area now has two equity partners promoted simultaneously in the firm’s two main offices: Gilberto Alves Júnior in São Paulo and Raphael Coelho dos Santos in Rio de Janeiro. This move consolidates a decentralized leadership structure with deep local knowledge and the capacity for coordinated action at the national level.
Gilberto Alves Júnior has over 20 years of experience in Criminal Law, with an emphasis on Corporate Criminal Law. His practice encompasses all areas of criminal law, with significant involvement in tax, environmental, consumer, and competition criminal litigation throughout the country. He has extensive experience in leading legal strategies in corporate crisis management, criminal negotiations, and legal risk mitigation.
“The increasing complexity of criminal lawsuits in the corporate environment demands increasingly coordinated and strategic action. Our focus is on strengthening that approach, connecting technical expertise with business realities and risk management,” Gilberto commented.
Raphael Coelho dos Santos has nearly 15 years of experience in the Corporate Criminal Law department at SiqueiraCastro, having previously worked at renowned boutique criminal law firms. He excels in strategic criminal compliance cases, corporate criminal liability, and sensitive investigations involving companies and senior executives. He represents clients in criminal proceedings at all levels of the judicial system and advises companies on structuring integrity programs, corporate governance policies, and criminal risk prevention mechanisms.
