The law firm Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer announced the promotion of 25 new partners, in the first round of promotions globally since the launch of HSF Kramer in June 2025.
The specializations of many of the new partners align closely with the firm’s priority areas, including energy and infrastructure, private equity, securitization, and collective actions. This year’s promotion also reflects the firm’s strengthened capabilities in areas such as patent litigation in the new technologies and intellectual property sectors, as well as real estate law, and consolidates its position in litigation and corporate transactions.
With a presence in all regions, these promotions – together with the 35 lateral additions of partners registered since the merger announcement in November 2024 – reinforce the firm’s global projection and its commitment to strengthening the main business corridors.
Global CEO Justin D’Agostino stated, “In this significant year for our firm, these promotions highlight the depth of talent across our network, reaffirm our position as a leading global legal firm, and reflect our commitment to investing in our people. Each of our new partners has demonstrated qualities that enhance our ability to operate at the highest level, and each will play a vital role in advancing our Ambition strategy. Their success is well-deserved, and I am delighted to congratulate them on reaching this important milestone in their careers.”
President and Senior Partner Rebecca Maslen-Stannage added, “Our new partners embody the firm’s forward-looking approach. They will help ensure we maintain the depth, breadth, and experience necessary to provide the best possible service to our clients. Their promotions are a testament to their achievements and the confidence we have in their ability to contribute to the firm’s success. I am proud to welcome them to the partnership and look forward to what the future holds.”
The promotions are effective from May 1, 2026.
