Garrigues has appointed Andrés Crump as a partner in its Bogotá office, specializing in Corporate M&A. His appointment, which must be ratified at the next Garrigues partners' meeting, will provide a significant boost to the practice area.

With over 20 years of experience, Crump is widely recognized for advising on some of the most significant transactions in Colombia (and in other countries such as Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and Peru), with a particular focus on the infrastructure and energy sectors. His experience includes private transactions, public-sector-led privatizations, and open market operations, as well as equity acquisitions and public offerings with an aggregate value exceeding US$20 billion.
Crump holds master's degrees in Law from Columbia University (New York) and in Finance from the University of Los Andes (Bogotá), the university where he also obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree.
Before joining Garrigues, he developed his professional career at various law firms. He also spent over ten years at Brookfield Asset Management, where he was a senior vice president and advised on numerous transactions in the infrastructure and energy sectors in Latin America.
