Hogan Lovells announced the appointment of Igor Montejo as new counsel in the Tax practice at the Madrid office, effective January 1, 2026. Igor was previously a senior associate and has had a distinguished career advising on complex national and international transactions.

His area of expertise is corporate, international, and indirect taxation, in which Igor regularly advises on M&A transactions, corporate reorganizations, financial operations, and real estate transactions. His experience includes the design of efficient tax structures in cross-border transactions and the coordination of due diligence processes in multiple sectors.
Among his most notable projects are advising EnfraGen on the joint refinancing of debt worth $1.8 billion, a transaction recognized as Deal of the Year in the Project Finance (Energy) category by Latin Lawyer in 2021, as well as advising AEW and IREIT Global’s sub-REIT, Sadena, on the tax structuring of real estate investments in Spain.
This appointment is part of the global promotion of 28 new partners and 53 counsels at Hogan Lovells. In the Madrid office, in addition to Igor Montejo, the firm has promoted Eduardo Pérez as a new partner in the Corporate M&A practice, consolidating the firm’s commitment to growth and excellence in its strategic areas.
