Ontier has appointed Matías Kunstmann as the partner in charge of the Tax practice at its Chile office. With this move, the firm strengthens its tax advisory capabilities in the country and consolidates a practice focused on supporting both local and international clients with their operations, investments, and tax needs in the Chilean market.
“The addition of Matías is another step in our strategy to strengthen Ontier’s capabilities in key markets, and to do so with professionals who possess in-depth local knowledge, recognized experience, and a clear international vision. Chile plays a significant role within our network, and having a robust tax practice allows us to provide a more comprehensive response to local and international clients operating in, from, and to Chile. This combination of local specialization and inter-office coordination is an essential part of our model,” stated Javier Muñoz, International Director of Ontier.
For his part, Javier Edwards, managing partner of Ontier Chile, noted that “the integration of a professional like Matías Kunstmann into the team generates strong synergies with the other areas of the firm at the local and international level, allowing us to provide legal advisory services with the desired strength and consistency.”

The development of the Tax practice in Chile will also allow the firm to advise companies served by other offices, integrating local and international capabilities under a single service model.
