Criminal lawyer in a multidisciplinary law firm based in Spain, Portugal, and Turkey.
With a degree in Law (2010) and Political Science (2011) from the Pontifical University of Comillas (ICADE), a specialization in the Executive Negotiation Program at the prestigious Harvard Law School, Boston (2015), postgraduate degree in the Leadership and Public Management Program at IESE (2016) and master’s degree in Fundamental Rights from the UNED (2020), Juan Gonzalo Ospina understands continuous training as the only vehicle for practicing his profession with excellence.
As a lawyer, he joined the multidisciplinary law firm Martínez-Echevarría in 2012 and, since 2014, has specialized in criminal law, establishing his own criminal law firm in Madrid, Ospina Abogados, in September 2016.
In terms of his teaching experience, Juan Gonzalo has distinguished himself as a professor of Computer Crimes and Criminal Procedural Law at Camilo José Cela University (2015) and of Practical Skills and Public Speaking at ISDE (2016–2018). At Rey Juan Carlos University, he developed the Practical Skills program in 2018.
Subsequently, at Antonio Nebrija University, he taught Criminal Procedural Law (2018–2019) and at CEU San Pablo University, throughout 2019, he was a professor of the same subject. Currently, and since 2018, he has been a professor of Trial Simulation at the Autonomous University of Madrid, having taught Practical Skills, Ethics, and Preparation for the Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession at the same center.
