Eight Advisory has acted as buy-side financial due diligence adviser to WVT Industries on its acquisition of Cygyc Biocon, a Spanish platform specialising in speciality chemicals, enzymatic formulations and probiotics.
WVT Industries, a pan-European disinfection and biosecurity solutions group headquartered in Antwerp and majority-owned by French fund Siparex ETI since 2025, has completed the transaction. The deal marks the group’s second significant acquisition since Siparex ETI took its stake.
The combined group will generate revenues in excess of €100 million, serve clients in more than 70 countries and employ over 250 people.
Eight Advisory Iberia provided buy-side financial due diligence services for the transaction. The team comprised Gennat Mouline, Daniel Martin Vicario, Nicolas Mathieu and Alexandre Piofret.
The acquisition reflects the active consolidation under way in the European biosecurity and speciality chemicals segment, where mid-sized groups are seeking to expand their R&D capabilities -particularly in enzymatic technology- through the acquisition of platforms with an established international footprint. The WVT Group operates through subsidiaries in the Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain and Singapore, serving clients across the industrial, maritime, food and beverage, professional hygiene, disinfection and biosecurity sectors. Prior to the acquisition, the group employed 180 people across its network. Cygyc Biocon operates in more than 35 countries and combines proprietary enzyme development with a diversified four-brand portfolio, positioning itself as a vertically integrated asset for buyers with established distribution networks.
