Sandra Chicoma has over 20 years of experience at CMS Grau. During this time, she has advised clients in the sector on highly sensitive regulatory, operational, and litigation matters, combining a technical perspective with practical decision-making criteria. Her expertise encompasses Aviation Law, as well as key components that directly impact the operation and reputation of airlines and operators today, including Administrative Law and procedures before authorities, in addition to Consumer Protection as applied to air transport.
New partner’s background
Sandra’s experience includes structuring the most functional method for obtaining operating and flight permits, according to the type of operation that each client wishes to carry out, as well as the preparation and execution of contracts related to aircraft leasing, aeronautical services and chartering, the handling of administrative and judicial claims derived from air transport, ex officio procedures of entities such as Migrations, OSITRAN, General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics, among others.
It also advises insurance companies specializing in aviation insurance on the regulatory framework in Peru, both in insurance and aviation matters. It supports clients in bilateral negotiations with Peruvian authorities and advises public and private airports. Additionally, it participates in regulatory improvement initiatives for the sector, including working groups with associations such as IATA and ALTA, as well as the Peruvian Civil Aviation Authority.
